The article gives a description of two new associations, Seslerio kalnikensis-Jovibarbetum hirtae and Seslerio calcariae-Jovibarbetum hirtae, which are present in extreme ecological conditions on Triassic dolomites; the first one on Gorjanci in the pre-Dinaric and the second one above Gracnica valley and Planina mountain in the pre-Alpine region of Slovenia. Jovibarba hirta has been classified as a characteristic species of both associations. Sesleria juncifolia ssp. kalnikensis and Globularia cordifolia are the differential species of the first association and Sesleria caerulea ssp. calcaria, Draba aizoides var. montana and Seseli austriaca of the second one. We compared them with classification and ordination methods and, subsequently established that there are clear floristic differences. They are classified into the alliance Alysso-Sedion Oberd. et T. Mueller in T. Mueller 1961, the order Alysso-Sedetalia Moravec 1967 and the class Sedo-Scleranthetea Br.-Bl. 1955.
