Study on soils in the cultivated land of Bhachee basin II. Soil fertility

Survey study on soil fertility of the cultivated land in Bhachee basin was carried out. One hundred soil samples were randomly taken from the culivated lands. Soil samples were field-tested and classified to soil series. The soil samples of all series were chemically analysed. Ten soil series were found, namely, Korat, San Pa Tong, Mae Rim, Tha Yang, Khao Yoi, Kamphaeng Saen, Tha Muang, Nakhon Pathom Chan Tuk and Hup Kapong, Kamphaeng Saen series were found to cover the largest area. All of the soil series had medium fertility status, except subsoils of Nakhon Pathom and Chan Tuk series which had low fertility status.
