Moving bones for model carpal joints and tarsal joints in horses, cattle and buffaloes

Anatomical studies on carpal and tarsal joints of horses, cattle and buffaloes are important for bone disorder diagnosis and surgical works. In the present study, instead of using fixed bone of the whole skeleton, we assembled the bone belonging to each joint separately in order to be movable, portable and relocated. For carpal joints, 5 strings were used in horses and 4 strings were used in cattle and buffaloes. 4 strings were used in the tarsal joints of all the species studied. By using joint can be move freely for the better understanding of the joint formation. Coloured marks painted on the bone can represent the ligaments involved.
