Development of methodology and model for efficient monitoring and management of water courses water quality

At the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture in Nis, Serbia (Serbia and Montenegro), a scientific project related to the development and improvement of the methodology for modeling of the quality of waters in the water courses on the basis of data on the concentrated water polluters is being realized. The project also entails the choice of the key parameters for an analysis of the water quality status of the water courses and definition of applicable model of modeling, simulation and management of the quality of water in the water courses. This paper will present the methodological approach to the problem solution, the structure of the model and the software package which is being developed and the results for the demo of the Toplica river basin, Serbia (Serbia and Montenegro).
