Our survey about morphological characteristics of adult and sex ratio of the citrus leaf miner Phyllocnistis citrella Stainton (Lepidoptera, Gracillariidae, Phyllocnistinae), as a newly introduced pest in Montenegro, showed that sex ratio was approximatively 1:1, concerning the fact that in 1999 (in a locality in Bar) sex ratio was slightly towarded to the male sex and during 2000 (in a locality in Budva) to the female sex. Also, detailed morphological characteristics of the adult, with special stress on characteristics which are reliable parameters for species identification are presented in this paper.
