Five parent wheat cultivars were crossed, three were used as mothers (Rescler, Car-3601 and Briocard), and two as fathers (Francuska and PKB-Prelivka) in the aim to create hybrids. A total of six sets was produced (3x2) for analysis: parents (P1 and P2) and generations of wheat hybrids (F1, BC1 BC2 and F2). Parent cultivars, hybrids of F1 and F2 generations and hybrids of BC1 and BC2 backcross generations are differed significantly and very significantly in number of grains per spike; in hybrid of BC2 backcross generation significant does not exist for the number of grains per spike. Base of average value the number of grains per spike, showed that that characteristic will be expressed in hybrids of F1 and F2 generations only if parents charateristic is streinghter expressed. The possible way of inheritance the number of grains per spike in hybrid of F1 generation are parcial dominance, super dominance and dominance. In hybrid of F2 generation in inheritance for the number of grains per spike was concluded that super dominance predominate. Genetic variance predominate to the environment variance. In that way it was got relatively high value of heritability in wide sense (68.17 to 79.45%). In inheritance of number of grains per spike significant role play additive component of genetic variance. The analyse of combining abilities showed that cultivar PKB Prelivka possess the best combining ability for the height of number of grains per spike.
