Income analysis and cropping pattern determination of upland rice farming system in Kulawi and North Lore subdistrict, Central Sulawesi (Indonesia)

Английский. Farmers application towards the management of upland rice farming in Central Sulawesi is still done traditionally with the average of production below 1.5 ton/ha. Production and farming income of upland rice in this area can be increased by improving the system of farming management to the more intensive point with the application of suitable cropping pattern. The objective of this research is to know the income value which is obtained before and after being done improvement and introduction of technology package. Besides, it can be determined by several alternatives of cropping pattern of upland rice specifically during the year in each location. Research result showed that through the improvement and introduction of technology pattern net income value can be gained twice for semi intensive effort and three times for the intensive one compare with the traditional farming system. Beside that, there are three alternatives of cropping pattern of upland rice in each location which is followed by secondary crops (corn, peanut, and peas) which is spread out during the year, and for more guarantee the continue of farmers income in their farming activities. Consistency and continuity of farmers' income will be more guarantee if the illumination is done intensively and availability of production materials and the system of institution of the farmers can be endeavored

индонезийский. Penerapan petani terhadap pengelolaan usahatani padi gogo di Sulawesi Tengah masih secara tradisional dengan produksi rata-rata dibawah 1,5 ton/ha. Produksi dan pendapatan usahatani padi di daerah ini masih berpeluang untuk ditingkatkan yang ditempuh melalui perbaikan sistem pengelolaan usahatani kearah yang lebih intensif disertai penerapan pola tanam yang sesuai. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui nilai pendapatan yang diperoleh sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan perbaikan dan introduksi paket teknologi. Selain itu dapat ditentukan beberapa alternatif pola tanam padi gogo secara spesifik sepanjang tahun pada tiap lokasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui perbaikan dan introduksi paket teknologi diperoleh nilai pendapatan bersih sebesar 2 kali lipat untuk usaha yang semi intensif dan 3 kali lipat untuk yang intensif daripada sistem usahatani tradisional. Selain itu pada tiap lokasi diperoleh 3 alternatif pola tanam padi gogo yang diikuti tanaman palawija (jagung, kacang tanah dan kacang hijau) yang tersebar sepanjang tahun guna lebih menjamin kontinuitas pendapatan petani dalam kegiatan usahataninya. Konsistensi dan kontinuitas pendapatan petani akan lebih terjamin apabila dilakukan pembinaan secara intensif, tersedianya sarana produksi yang terjangkau petani serta sistem kelembagaan ditingkat petani dapat diberdayakan
