Response of krisan in pot on azolla compost and SP-36 fertilizer application in Malang (Indonesia)

The demand of ornaments is increasing in line with the increase of better economics, awareness in esthetics and development of communication. In order to improve the better yield to meet the market supply, the cultivation method should be mastered. However, the cultivation of the flower is far from complete. Therefore, this experiment reported the effect of azolla compost and fertilizer-P on the growth of krisan in pot. The experiment used Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 2 factors and repeated 3 times. The first factor was azolla compost which had 4 levels i.e. 50 g, 100 g, 150 g and 200 g per polybag respectively. The remain factor was the fertilizer-P (SP-36) consisting of 3 levels i.e. 2 g, 4 g and 6 g per polybag. The parameters observed were plant height, leaf area, time of flowering, number of flower, flower diameter and the weight of media plus plant. The interaction between azolla compost and fertilizer-P were significant on the harvesting time, flower diameter and the weight of media plus plant. The experiment also showed that the azolla compost affected to the plant height and leaf area. Meanwhile, the fertilizer-P influenced to the time of flowering
