Sahiwal cows(19) were super ovulated by using follicle stimulating hormone(FHS) starting from day 10 of the estrous cycle (day 0=day of estrus) to study the super ovulatory response which was determined by counting corpus luteum present on the both ovaries. They were considered as good (5 CL), fair (3-5 CL) and non-responder (1-2 CL). Total protein, albumin and globulin were determined in each group. To gonadotrophin treatment 78.94% animals responded, out of which 53.33% were good, 46.66% fair and 21.05% did not respond. Total protein was significantly (p0.05) higher in good responder animals compared to fair and non-responders but the variation on account of days during estrous cycle was not-significant in all groups. Albumin level between fair and good responder animals did not vary significantly and their variation was also not significantly different among days of estrous cycle. Levels of albumin were significantly lower (p0.05) in non-responder animals. Significantly (p0.05) higher values of globulines were found in non-responder animals compared to good responders in the present study.
