The steady growth of Indian exports from Rs 25 crores in 1994 to Rs 150 crores in 2002, stands as a testimony to the fact that the floricultural produce from India has already made a mark in the global floriculture business meeting the stringent quality standards. In a highly fashion-driven technology like floriculture, the preferences and standards do change from time-to-time . The Indian floriculture industry therefore must strive to maintain the existing standards and meet the future requirements.
