A field experiment was conducted to study the hierarchy of production factors for efficient and economic use of limited resources for optimum production of sunflower. The results indicated that fertilizer is the most important constraints which reduced sunflower productivity by more than 50% followed by thinning. Deletion of plant protection, thinning and combination of different constraints from the full package reduced the sunflower yield by nearly 26% . Combination of more than one constraint had further adverse effect on productivity. The grain yield (1372 kg ha-1), net return (Rs. 10029 ha-1) and B:C ratio (2.16) were significantly higher on the adoption of full package of practices.
