Allelopathic effect of Ageratina Adenophora on growth and development of Lantana Camara

A pot experiment was conducted to find out the allopathic effect of Ageratinal adenophora plant litter collected at different stages on the survival and growth of Lantana camra cuttings. Results showed that survival, number of leaves/branch and root length of lantana cutting were highly suppressed with A. adenophora plant litter. The inhibition was maximum with litter collected at post-flowering stage followed by pre-flowering and then flowering stages.
