Rearing Pauesia juniperorum: A biological control agent of cypress aphids

This is a technical paper on the results of surveys carried out on the solitary endoparasitoid of aphids, Pauesia juniperorum. The surveys resulted from the need to find ways to control or eradicate the cypress aphid, which was first reported in Kenya in 1990. Pauesia juniperorum was adopted as the biological control agent and was imported for mass rearing and release in the East, Central and Southern African region. This report details the materials and methods used in the surveys, the results, conclusion and recommendations.
