Present status and future developmental direction of soy-related industries in Korea

In Korea, the soy-industries have longer history than any other industries. But soy-industries in Korea, in the modern sense, may be originated from the soy-sauce industry at end of 19th century by Japanese. At present, the sizes and kinds of soy-related industries in Korea are much variable thus it is much difficult to know the exact numbers and market values of all kinds of soy-industries. But the number of soy-industries are approximately estimated to be over 5,000 and the market values to be as much as 1,500~2,000 billions won.
