Consumers' interest in organic plant growing and animal products is increasing with each year. More than 420 private farms develop this agricultural branch and produce corn, potatoes, fruits, vegetables, honey, meat, milk, egg and other products for green market. Private farmers produce significant part of these products using technologies developed on a minimal information basis. Up to now scientific elaborations have not been widely used in plant growing and in the production of animal products, which is connected with insufficient funding to solve this problem. At the Research Centre Sigra, investigations on elaboration of the scientific basis of the production of organic products have been carried out already for ten years. The investigations deal with issues closely related to the technological chain and analyze its connection with risk factors determination and influence on production.
