A sewerage system can cause the following risks and their factors: drinking water epidemiological risks; risks of drinking water pollution with organic substances; risks of drinking water pollution with non-organic substances; sanitary risks; air pollution risks; soil pollution risks; economic risks; risks of pollution with hazardous substances. The repairing of the sewerage infrastructure in the Venta River basin area is in the early stage of development. The existing sewerage network system in the Venta River basin area is in poor condition - frequent emergency situations, huge water losses, and the small proportion of sewerage system users - proves it. The planned length of sewerage network extension and renovation is 183.5 km. The planned amount of investments in mitigating the risks caused by sewerage systems totals 53,004,200 Ls.
