The effect of herbal-mineral compounds on the level of macroelements in calf serum

The aim of the study was to describe the influence of various sets of herbs together with mineral compounds on the level of Ca, P, Mg, Na and K in calf serum. The study was carried out on 3- to 6-month-old calves. The essence of the experiment was to find out changes in the macroelement consisted of animals previously receiving herbs. The set of herbs in compounds for the experimental groups as well as the content of the rich compound remained the same as in the feeding period up to 3 months. The application of herbal-mineral additives resulted in the increase of Ca level, inorganic phosphorus and Mg in the blood serum. The effect of herbal and mineral compounds on the level of Ca and K was changeable and showed no sign of regularity
