The aim of this study was analysis of the state of equipment of typical agricultural machinery in private farms situated of mountainous and lowland areas of former Jelenia Gora and Walbrzych voivodeships. Results of this investigates shown that the equipment of the machinery in mountainous and lowland farms was not different. The most number of tractors in this period was in size group of farms 10-20 ha, the least in size group of farms above 50 ha
