Performances of Brahman-native crossbred and Australian Brahman cattle in Nakhonsrithammarat

Two years (February 1995-97) performance study of 5-7 years old Brahman x Native Crossbred compared with 5-7 years old Australian cattle in Faculty of Agriculture at Nakhonsrithammarat. Means weight difference compare by t-test. The result of this study revealed that the initial weight of pregnant, birth weight, and yearling weight of Australian Brahman cattle were higher than Brahman x Native Crossbred and gave significant difference (P0.05) While gestation period and calving interval of Brahman-Native Crossbred were lower than Australian Brahman cattle and gave significant difference (P0.05), which result to calving rate of Brahman x Native Crossbred is higher than Australian Brahman. So, if there is considerate in the whole performance of the two. It is not give the difference among them.
