Improvement of animal production in the rural supplement income of farmers : Swine

Project on demonstrate and extension of swine production was conducted at mu 4 Tumbon Yangrat, Ampher Cockjarean, Lopburi Province. Five farmer families were selected as the demonstraters on swine production technology. The local farmer accepted this appropriate technology well and improved their swine production. Some constrain of this project at the beginning were the basic knowledge of the farmers, high price concentrated feed but low price pig, Steal problem, etc. The project was operated on the concepted of the self-reliance of the farmer. Cost of the animal was returned to the village committee after the farmer sold their production. Village committee use these returnable fund for extended the project. So the rural development expand with more progress.
