Concern over Kenya's rapidly diminishing forest estate has resulted in increasing focus by government and related agencies on ways of checking this decline. This decline is largely the result of conflicting interests in land/resource management and revolve around the fundamental issues of access, ownership and decision- making capacities of stakeholders.
