Quality and yield of lettuce in dependence of different fertilizer sources

The influence of different fertilizer sources on lettuce yield and quality was studied. The field experiment was carried out on alluvial meadow soil . The experiment included three fertilizer sources: mineral fertilizer, farmyard manure and foliar fertilization. The highest yield values from lettuce were obtained in the variants with mineral fertilization. A beneficial effect of the lettuce quality was observed: high values of soluble sugars and vitamin C content, low level of cellulose and reduced nitrate content.
