Investigation on the alteration of quality parameters of beer in PET bottles

It was carried out the investigation on the alteration of some quality parameters of beer in 2,0l PET bottles during their storage. The beers were ordinary 10,0-10,5% with 45-60 days shelf-life, produced and bottled by some home breweries. It was investigated the impact of PET bottles colour (brown and green) and condition of storage (in the daylight and in the dark). In brown PET bottles stored in the daylight the flavour stability changed 15-30 days earlier for the worse, compared to the lots stored in the dark. In the 45-60 days time limit the main quality problem is the deterioration of flavour stability, not the colloidal stability.
