In 2001-2003 at the Lithuanian Institute of Horticulture the influence of orchard constructions on the growing of apple tree "Delikates," their productivity, yield and fruit quality in young orchard was investigated and evaluated. Investigations were carried out according to this scheme: 1 - fruit trees with seedling rootstocks, scheme of planting - 4 x 2.5m, 1000 trees/ha; 2 - fruit tres with rootstocks MM.106, scheme of planting - 4 x 2.0m, 1250 trees/ha; 3 - fruit trees with rootstocks M.26, scheme of planting - 4 x 1.5m, 1667 trs/ha; 4 - fruit tres with rootstocks M.26, scheme of planting - 4 x 1.0m, 2500 trees/ha. Fruit tres were trained as spindles. Investigations showed that young apple trees "Delikates" with seedling rootstocks are up to 2.7 times of greater growth vigour and up to 27% more productive than these ones with vegetative rootstocks MM.106 and M.26, but their productivity is up to 2.4 times lower than this one of fruit trees with rootstock M.26, wich grow 1.6 times more densely. Statistically the biggest yield per area unit of apple tre "Delikates" in the young orchard is obtained when growing 1667-2500 trees/ha apple trees with rootstocks M.26, trained as spindles. The average fruit weight didn't depend on young orchard construction
