The experiment was carried out in 2004 on mature "Jonagold" apple trees/M.26 planted at a spacing of 4.0 x 2.5 m on a sandy loam soil with low status of organic matter. The same tree were sprayed with bee attractant Pollinus at the beginning of flowering, with multicomponent fertilizer Friton Kombi at 4 and 6 weeks after petal fall, and with fertilizer Fruton containing Ca at 8, 10, 12 and 14 weeks after blooming. Trees sprayed with water served as a control. The results showed that folia sprays of the above materials increased yielding, mean fruit weight, the number of seeds in an apple, fruit Ca concentration, and decrease fruit sensitivity to bitter pit. Folia sprays had no effect on firmness and soluble solids concentration in fruit, coloring, and fruit decay during storage
