Organization of provision of roughages on the commercial family farms

The method of provision of roughages on private farms has been analyzed in the paper. For realization of the task set, statistical data have been used, as well as data of three intentionally selected family farms that were relevant for analysis. In the Vojvodina Province grow the forage crops 5.25% of ploughland and they have 2823 ha of leys and 36696 ha of pastures. Areas for production of roughages are slowly increasing, but these yields are modest and have tendency of decrease. Looking as an average, the farms analyzed used all four sources of roughages for livestock. The state in the energy values, 19.7% of the ration was provided from the leys and pastures, which is very favourable financially, 38.7% from forage crops grown on ploughlands, 41.6% (27.7+13.9) make byproducts of plant production and processing industry which is from the organizationally economical aspect very significant, because these feeds do not occupy directly the ploughlands.
