The investigations have been performed to explore the possibility of maize seed production in dry conditions. The experimental growing of corn seed crop was carried out during the two different growing seasons: with and without irrigation. The relation between parental lines in seed crop was 4:2. Two field crop rotations were applied following the wheat crop in preceding year. The analyses have been carried out separately per mother plants. The following mother plant characteristics have been included in this investigation: number of kernels per one ear, mass of kernels per one ear, and mass of corncob. Results of investigation have indicated that there is no significant difference in yield per plant between two different ecological seasons. It is possibly to conduct maize seed production in dry conditions, but only with hybrids with shorter vegetation period, because of frequent and bitter droughts in August. Maize seed production of early hybrids have another convenience: drying of seed after harvest is not necessary, because of very heat and dry air in maturating time (August).
