The objective of this study was to determine the effects of different row spacings on morphological properties, yield components and quality of grain by soybean varieties a different maturity groups, during 2002 and 2003. Row spacings of 50 and 70 cm were compared for sowing three soybean varieties. In the field trials was used following soybean varieties: Afrodita (maturity group 0), Balkan (maturity group 1), and Vojvodjanka (maturity group 2). Height of the first pod was significant different between observed row spacings. Namely, height of the first pod was greater in 70 cm spacing between rows than in 50 cm spacing between rows. Soybean had highly significant higher seed yield at the 50 cm spacing between rows than at the 70 cm spacing between rows in both years of examination. Variety Balkan had the highest protein content in seed in both years of examination. With increased row spacing there was founded a certainly increase protein content in seed. Variety Afrodita had the highest oil content in seed. At the narrow row spacing, soybean had higher oil content in seed. Path-analyses showed tha the mass of 1000 seeds had the most constant effect on yield of seed per plant.
