Application of enzymatic bacterial preparation in the treatment of the drainage water at the sanitary landfill

The Regional Municipality Landfill Lovanja, located near Tivat (Montenegro), is the only sanitary landfill in Montenegro. By utilization of enzimatic-bacterial preparation of the Italian producer EUROVIX S.r.l., is concluded significantly reduction of malodors only after 4 days. The analyzes of the drainage water (prior to, and 7 days from the beginning of the treatment) showed that the extremely high concentrations of BOD5, COD, suspended matter and electrical conductivity were halved. Continual application of enzymatic-bacterial preparations successfully solved problem of drainage water from the landfill.
