Английский. It is well known that performances are very different between farms, even if they are located under similar conditions of climate. This phenomenon is due to different genotypes, food resources and building facilities, but it is likely that a very large part of this variation is caused by the quality of human resources. Several authors have highlighted the close relationship between stockman and reproductive performance (Hemsworth et al. 1981), stockman and piglet survival (Ravel et al. 1996), stockman and pig behaviour and growth (Hemsworth et al. 1981). In this case study, the positive influence of stockpeople training courses on farm performance in 3 herds where no changes in food, genotypes and buildings took place during the investigated period is shown

Tali differenze possono essere attribuite in parte ai diversi genotipi, alimenti, strutture e attrezzature disponibili, ma, in questo panorama, è fondamentale non trascurare il ruolo delle risorse umane. In questo studio si riporta come l´effetto della formazione del personale abbia influito positivamente sulle performance di 3 aziende in cui, nel periodo considerato, non si sono verificate variazioni di rilievo per quanto riguardava alimentazione, genetica e strutture
