Английский. Any soilless cropping system requires a continuous supply of water and nutrient solution in open or closed circulation. Technical set-up of open systems is simple and spread of root infesting pathogens is limited, but excessive nutrient solution run-off causes environmental hazards. Recirculating nutrient solution has ecological benefits but asks for exact crop management. Under certain conditions, pathogens can spread to endanger the crop. Nevertheless, today only closed systems should be considered. There are quite a number of different technologies available with more or less risks of plant root system damage due to pathogens. The choice of substrates for soilless cultivation is extensive, but they have always to be free of pathogens when applied first. When reused, they must be disinfected. Most destructive are phytopathogenic fungi, such as Pythium, Phytophthora and Olpidium, followed by viruses, bacteria and nematodes. Early on, the grower should take care to transplant healthy seedlings to avoid problems from the start. Also greenhouse structures can serve as infection sources as well as surface water for irrigation. Soilless cultivation has the huge advantage to optimize growing factors like temperature, water, pH and nutrients according to the plant need to reduce stress. Large operations with monocrops may choose sterilization of irrigation water. A number of practical options is available, chemicals (ozone, hydrogen peroxide, chlorine, iodine), UV irradiation, heating, membrane and slow- or bio-filtration. Biological control of root infesting pathogens offers very interesting new approaches, e.g. Bacillus subtilis strains, Streptomyces, Trichoderma, non-pathogenic Fusarium and V-micorrhiza strains besides fluorescent pseudomonads
Показать больше [+] Меньше [-]итальянский. Nelle colture fuori suolo (sia a ciclo aperto, sia a ciclo chiuso) occorre continuamente fornire acqua e nutrienti. Nella gestione dei sistemi a ciclo aperto la diffusione dei patogeni ipogei risulta semplificata e limitata, tuttavia il drenaggio eccessivo della soluzione nutritiva può causare rischi ambientali. La gestione dei sistemi a ciclo chiuso, seppur più complessa, presenta benefici ambientali. La scelta dei substrati per le colture fuori suolo risulta ampia, ma occorre che questi siano esenti da patogeni prima di essere impiegati; qualora vengano riusati più volte, essi devono essere disinfettati. I vivaisti devono prima di tutto considerare lo stato sanitario delle piantine, senza trascurare che anche le strutture delle serre possono essere fonte d´infezioni. Le colture fuori suolo presentano il grande vantaggio di poter ottimizzare i fattori di crescita come la temperatura, l´acqua, il pH e gli elementi nutritivi, secondo le esigenze delle piante, per massimizzarne l´efficienza. Le grandi aziende vivaistiche possono scegliere la via della sterilizzazione dell´acqua per l´irrigazione; esistono infatti diversi sistemi per questa operazione, come l´impiego di prodotti chimici (ozono, perossido di idrogeno, cloro, iodio), oppure l´irraggiamento con raggi UV, il trattamento con calore o la biofiltrazione. Il controllo biologico dei patogeni radicali offre diverse opportunità, come, per esempio, ceppi di Bacillus subtilis, Streptomyces, Trichoderma, Fusarium non patogeni e ceppi micorrizici di pseudomonadi fluorescenti
