The protective function of the dune systems in the coast environment means an important protection for the inland, thus favouring the conservation of habitat and the development of native plant communities. The sand dunes rebuilding and consolidation is one of the activities that the Veneto Region Forestry Services realize in some coastal localities in the upper Adriatic sea by practising methods and techniques typical of soil bioengineering and aiming at using native species coupled with passive structures

La ricostruzione e il consolidamento delle dune sabbiose è una delle attività che il Servizio forestale della Regione Veneto realizza in alcune località costiere dell´Alto Adriatico sfruttando metodi e tecniche tipiche della bioingegneria del suolo, orientate a impiegare specie autoctone unitamente a strutture passive.]
