Pollen information until now offers information of the number of pollen measured at each fixed point We examined the possibility of the information of pollen allergen. Last pollen season, we tried the weekly information about the pollen allergen, because it enables to offer the useful information for the local residents. The air samples were collected with Virtual Impactor (57.6cubic m/ day) on the laboratory roof in every day. It was extracted with NH4HCO3 solution, and pollen allergen was measured by ELISA with the supernatant after centrifugation. Information was announced officially in the homepage (pollen information (all year round)) of our institute during March - June. The amount of Cry j 1 agrees well with the number of C. japonica pollen measured with the same sample. The amount of Dae g didn't agree with the number of grass pollen dislike Cry j 1. It could be measured from the early stages of C. japonica pollen dispersion, and Cry j 1 was measured with ten-fold diluted sample collected at the time of the peak pollen season. The sensitivity of the measurement of pollen allergen was superior to that of Durham method. The sensitivity of the surface plasmon resonance method (SPR) with an anti-Dac g rabbit IgG was inferior to that of ELISA method. Information on grass pollen allergen is desirable to inform the causal allergens of grass pollinosis because various grass pollens diverse simultaneously and they have substantial degree of cross-reactive antigens.
