Evaluation of parks' water spaces which use water for agricultural purposes: Parks located at borders of Fuefukigawa River, Yamanashi prefecture [Japan]

The main objective of the present research aims to ascertain the function of water spaces which use water for agricultural purposes ; clarifying the characteristics and evaluating water spaces that differ depending on the agricultural water use, and furthermore to demonstrate in a quantitative index, the control and maintenance of these waters. Eight parks located at borders of Fuefukigawa River which were the objects of this analysis. l) The result of the evaluation of parks with water spaces, users of water spaces and results of the evaluation for parks; the parks' maintenance of water spaces in each park was clarified. In addition, analysis of the maintenance of parks was clarified. There were two classifications when evaluating factors : "General evaluation for water spaces" and "General evaluation for parks" 2) The characteristics of parks having water spaces : the number of visitors decrease at any season in case of spending too much time and money for mobilization, so, the frequency of visits to nearer parks increases. Most of the visitors are frequently in a group and/or the number of visitors increase when events are held. When evaluating parks, apart from the seasons, the frequency of visits was the principal factor, and when evaluating water spaces, summer was the principal factor for the increase of visitors' frequency.
