Ducusin, R.A. | Libunao, L.P.
This study was conducted at the Poultry Project, DMMMSU-NLUC, Bacnotan, La Union from December 7, 2001 to January 17, 2002 to find out the performance of broilers (Starbo Strain) fed with varying levels of dried silkworm excreta as feed supplement compared with those fed with pure commercial feeds and to determine the most economical level of dried silkworm excreta as feed supplement for broiler ration to 75 (21-day old) chicks, following the randomized complete block design. The result of the study revealed that the broilers given ration of 5% dried silkworm excreta gave the best result on the final weight ad gain in weight. The birds fed with dried silkworm excreta were efficient in converting feeds into meat than the birds given pure commercial feeds.
