The gender dimension in training at the Institute of Water Technology

The Water Services Corporation is responsible for the whole water cycle from the production of water to the treatment and disposal or re-use of sewage and waste water. It established the Institute of Water technology in 1993 with a mandate to train and develop the workers. This paper continue to examine the development of women at the workplace by looking at the training programmes that are organised by the IWT and assessing female participation in training programmes. The paper also examines how drama-based training can assist participants in the learning process and in what way it has been utilised with effectiveness.
