[Analysis of inheritance of the main economically important traits of F1 hybrids of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) of Belarusian selection]

The nature of heterosis inheritance of economically important traits (length of vegetation period, seeds huskiness, plant height, head diameter, seed weight per head, weight of 1000 seeds) of F1 hybrids of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) of Belarusian selection obtained in topcrosses system was studied. Research results showed that early-maturity (67,7%), low hull content (65,5%), tall height (54,9%) were the dominating features of F1 hybrids of Belarusian selection. Intermediate type of inheritance and true heterosis were typical for all other studied traits. The strategy of selection of parental pairs for the creation of early-maturing and highly productive hybrids of sunflower was discussed
