The comparison of winter rye (Secale cereale L.) interline and varietal-line hybrids with their parental forms at the stages of stem elongation and flowering was presented. Research results showed the significant differences in the content of plastid pigments (Chlorophyll a, Chlorophyll b, carotenoids) per leaf square unit in course of both studied stages. Particular features of pigment accumulation in the studied F1 hybrids of winter rye were revealed. Influence of the parental forms of genotypes taken into crossing on manifestation of characteristics and availability of reciprocal effects was studied. Photosynthetic activity of photosystem II in the studied reciprocal hybrids to some extent depended on the genotype and crossing direction. Obtained research data on manifestation of heterosis effect in the plastid pigments (Chlorophyll a, Chlorophyll b, carotenoids) of studied F1 hybrids made it possible to mark out the genetic differences between them
