Research results of studies of photosynthetic parameters of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) initial forms, its somatic clonal regenerant shoots in the conditions of in vitro culture and after the further replanting into soil in ex vitro conditions were presented. Potato plants were cultivated in vitro on the Murashige-Skoog medium. Age of the experimental material was determined according to the maximum level of photosynthetic pigments accumulation. Test results showed the lowering of the pigment status but marked no change in plant morphology. The cultivated plants showed differences in chlorophyll and carotinoid content: the quantity of chlorophylls and carotinoids and their ratio in leaves of potato initial forms was higher than in the leaves of germs in ex vitro culture and after it. The ratio of chlorophyll A and chlorophyll B increased due to the predominant indices of chlorophyll A. The fluorescent analysis of photosynthetic activity of photosystem II indicated its great decrease in the conditions of cultivation on artificial media and variance in comparison with the control indices. Similar effects were observed in potato leaves after plant replanting in ex vitro conditions. Research results showed the disruption of electrons transport ability in the chain of carriers, lowering of ferments activity in dark phase (Rfd-ration), increasing of thermal dissipation of photosystem
