[Comparative characteristics of the main elements of productivity of foreign varieties of triticale according to combination ability and with the use of different methods of evaluation]

Results of evaluation of hexaploid triticale varieties and hybrids of foreign selection according to general and specific combination ability are shown. General combination ability and specific combination ability of 28 lines and combinations of F1 hybrids according to the main economically-valuable productivity indicators has been determined. Lines with the highest productivity and established value of each line and hybrid for future use in selection programs have been chosen. Results of research could be used for further work with the most valuable varieties of those examined. Carried out research with use of mathematical models Griffing II and IV allow to draw following conclusions: 1) presence or absence in mathematical model of parental lines changes an estimation of their combinational ability; 2) the high level of the general combinational ability at lines L29 and Prego on the basic economic-useful attributes allows to hope on approximately identical display of an attribute at the subsequent generations that enables to use these lines as components of synthetic varieties with high level of productivity; 3) to the universal samples, giving high and stable crops, it is possible to carry hybrids at which as a parent component have been used L29 and Prego
