Se evaluó la reacción de ocho especies de plantas inoculadas artificialmente con un aislado de Ceratocystis fimbriata (Ell. et Halst) Elliott, patógeno del café (Coffee arabica L.). Las especies afectadas fueron el boniato (Ipomoea batatas L. var. 'CEMSA' y el cacao (Theobroma cacao L) base Trinitario, pero no se observó respuesta positiva en plantas de cacao United Fruit (UF). Las especies Cocos nucifera L. var. 'Indio'; Citrus aurantifolia , Swingle var. 'Mejicana' y Xanthosomas sagittifolium, Scholt no presentaron síntomas de la enfermedad. Persea americana, Mill. y Cedrela odorata L. mostraron reacciones de resistencia al ataque del patógeno.

The reaction of eight plant species artificially inoculated with an isolate of Ceratocystis fimbriata (Ell, et Halst) Elliott, pathogene of coofee (Coffea arabica. L.) was evaluated. The species affected were the sweet potato (Ipomoea batata L. var. 'CEMSA') and the cacao (Theobroma cacao L.) trinitarian base, but no positive response was obtained in cacao UF plants. The species Cocos nucifera L. var. 'Indio', Citrus aurantifolia Swingle var. 'Mejicana', and Xanthosomas sagittifolium Scholt did not show symptoms of the disease. Persea americana Mill. and Cedrela odorata L. showed resistance reactions to the pathogene attack.
