Evaluación de dietas semiartificiales para Heliothis virescens.

Испанский язык; кастильский. Durante 1981 se evaluaron tres dietas semiartificiales para la cría del cogollero del tabaco, Heliothis virescens (Fab.). Las dietas I y II se confeccionaron con 32 y 20 g de levadura torula, respectivamente, y la III con 32 g de sémola de maíz, como componentes principales, las que se compararon con un testigo constituido por rodajas de maíz tierno. El trabajo se desarrolló a la temperatura de 29,5°C y humedad relativa de 55-65%. Los mejores resultados se alcanzaron en la dieta III donde la fase larval fue significativamente mas corta. El peso de las pupas y los adultos fue mayor con esta dieta, la cual tuvo, además, el menor costo.

Diets I and II were prepared with 32 and 20 g of torula yeast, respectively, and diet III with 32 g of corn semolina, as main components, and they were compared with soft sorncob slices as check. The work was done at a temperature of 29,5°C and a 55-65 % relative humidity. The best results were obtained with diet III, with which the larval stage was significantly shorter. The weight of pupas and adults was greater with this diet which moreover was the cheapest.
