Growth pattern in crops indicates physiological activities of growth and development during growth period. Dry matter production and leaf area can be measured by growth pattern . Identification of growth and development stages helps better crop management for achivement of potential yield of crops. In order to determination of phenology and growth stages same rice varieties, this study has done as factorial experiment in RCBD design with 3 replications. Four varieties (Tarom, Nemat, Sahel and Fajr) and three transplanting date used as treatments in two regions (Amol and Chaparsar) during two years. Results of analysis showed that transplanting date had significant effect on growth period. Growth period of varieties decreased because of delay in transplanting date. Among varieties Tarom with 114.6 days and Nemat with 130.3 days from seeding to harvesting had the less and the most growth period, respectively. In order study, sahel (119 days) and fajr (120.7) were between Tarom and Nemat variety. Growth period and required degree days of varieties had negative relationship in different transplanting date. Maximum required degree days of Tarom, Nemat, Sahel and Fajr in the 3th transplanting date were 1695, 1933, 1759 and 1788.5 respectively.Growth indexes such as DMA and CGR in first transplanting date were more than other dates. LAI of varieties except Nemat increased by delay in transplanting date.
