Yield comparison of spring rapeseed varieties and hybrids in Warm and Wet north of regions.

In order to evaluate the early maturity, logging and disease resistance and high yielding, 21 genotypes new spring rapeseed varieties and hybrids were tested in Caspian sea regions during 2002-03. The experimental design was randomized complete blocks with four replications. The traits studied as: days to initial and complete flowering, duration of flowering, days to maturity, plant height, pods per plant, number of branches, seed yield and seed weight. Yield comparison of genotypes in four regions (First experiment) showed that Hybrid of Hyola401, PF704591 (Sarigol) and RGS003 have 3372, 3289 and 3216 Kg/ha mean yield, respectively. In second experiment, the yield comparison of genotypes in two locations indicated PS-1, Hyola401, Option500 have high yielding, 4606, 4533, 4046 Kg/ha respectively. Earliest maturity of genotypes belongs to Hyola301 with 178 days in both experiments.
