Effect of seed rates, planting dates and cutting on the yield and seed yield component of persian clover in Shahrekord region

In order to determine the effect of planting dates seed rates and cutting on the seed yield of persian clover an expriment was carried out for two years (2002-2003) in splite- splite plote design with three Replications in Chartakhteh Research Station in Shahrekord. Planting dates at three levels ( 23 jull- 6 Aug- 21 Aug) were considered as main plots, Seed rates at five levels (10-20-30-40-50) kg/ha were considered at subplats and cutting at two levels (second cut- third cut) were considered at subsubplots.The resuts showed that maximum seed yield obtained from planting at 21 Aug, 40-50 kg/ha seed rate and consider the second cut for seed production. There was significant and positivc corrolation between seed yield and stem/m2 namber of capsol/ stem, number of seed capsol and negative corrolation between seed yield and 1000 seed weight.
