Characterization of flavonol compounds from Sardinian fruits using high-performance liquid chromatography

Английский. Typical fruits of Sardinia, both wild and cultivated, picked in different areas of the island, were analysed to determine their content in flavonol compounds. Fresh fruits underwent an extraction process with an acetone/water mixture (70:30, v/v). Three antioxidant flavonol species, quercetin, myricetin and kaempferol glycosides were extracted. The hydrolysis of the glycosylated forms with trifluoroacetic acid, followed by HPLC analysis and plotted gradient, resulted in an optimal separation of the flavonols under examination and qualitative and quantitative determination of the occurring aglycons. The flavonol present in the highest quantity in almost all the analysed fruits was quercetin, followed by kaempferol and myricetin. On the other hand, myricetin was the major flavonol present in myrtle (1.327 mg/l)

I frutti freschi sono stati estratti con una miscela di acetone/acqua (70:30 v/v). Sono state estratte tre specie di flavonoli, i glucosidi della quercetina, miricetina e campoferolo. L'idrolisi delle forme glicosidate, con acido trifluoroacetico e analisi in HPLC, ha mostrato un'ottima separazione dei flavonoli esaminati e determinazione quali-quantitativa degli agliconi presenti. Il flavonolo presente in maggiore quantità nella maggior parte dei frutti sottoposti ad analisi è la quercetina, seguita dal campoferolo e dalla miricetina. Quest'ultima è anche il flavonolo più presente nel mirto (1,327 mg/l)
