IT solutions in the development of health care institutions in Latvia

IT solutions are becoming increasingly popular among Latvia's health care institutions, even though there are still many obstacles against their full use. Modern information technology solutions are mostly used in Latvia by those health care institutions which have actively planned their economic development and the way in which they care for their patients. Among them there are institutions which provide services to hundreds of patients a day, as well as small private practices which employ between one and four physicians.
