During 2005-2006 in Skriveri, the testing of five in Latvia breeding varieties ('Lasma', 'Zaiga', 'Retrija', 'Almara' and 'Vitra') production in organic agriculture is carried out. Phenological and quality data of pea varieties are showed in the table. Crop yield during 2005-2006 is reflected in the diagram. The tasty varieties with high protein content are the 'Retrija' and the 'Lasma'. All five varieties are suitable for production in organic farming either in mixed corn with cereals or in a clear sowing.
