Managerial competencies of agricultural cooperatives in La Union

This study was conducted to find out the managerial competencies of agricultural cooperative managers in the province of La Union. Findings show that majority of the managers were four-year degree holders while most of the staff had finished two-year computer or vocational courses. Both managers and staffs had attended skills training, like computer operation, typing, check making, filing/recording, bookkeeping, machine operation and driving. The competence of the manager in planning is significantly related to civil status; organizing to age and civil status; and controlling to age, skills, and seminars attended.
