The present study is conducted to see the effect of PH and various concentration of K4Fe (CN)6 and K2HPO4 on citric acid bio-production and their kinetic analysis. Results shows that fermentation medium with initial PH 6.0 resulted in maximum citric acid production (65.20 plus minus 0.2 g/l). An increase or decrease in the PH greatly reduced citric acid biosynthesis. The fermentation medium containing 200 ppm potassium ferrocyanide showed the maximum citric acid production (69.3 plus minus 0.8 g/l). A decrease in citric acid production was observed when concentration of potassium ferrocyanide increased or decreased from 200 ppm. The addition of dipotassium hydrogen phosphate in the fermentation medium resulted in maximum citric acid production (81.21 plus minus 6.2 g/l) of K2HPO4.
